When we launched the Oikos Initiative in 2019, we had big goals and bigger dreams: carrying Christ to everyone, everywhere, in this generation. But God’s plans were bigger still.
We never could have foreseen, at the outset of 2019, the pandemic event that would remake our world, reshape our ministry, and expand the tasks of our calling. We could not have anticipated the way our work would be accelerated and transformed by the rapid evolution of technology and the global events of our world. We hardly could have imagined that, in just the first six years of Oikos, we would see:
- 2,820,124,462 potential people reached
- 184.2 Million Bibles/New Testaments/Scripture Portions/Discipleship Materials distributed
- 112.9 million positive responses to the gospel

But to me, the most exciting development we never saw coming is the beginning of a volunteer movement: the global fellowship of local believers responding to the call to carry Christ to their worlds—believers just like you. On average, 635,200 people are joining Every Home every month in this vision. That’s a grassroots campaign of compassion, fueled by the local church and motivated by love, multiplying before our eyes. This tells us that God is up to something bigger than we ever hoped to see: not just a message carried to every person on the planet, but a global Church inspired and empowered to change the world.
The Oikos Initiative is full of holy surprises, and we are honored to share them with you. God’s love is at work through you, making way for more people in more places to encounter his Good News.
