The history of Every Home is a patchwork of countless incredible stories—moments of revelation, vision, and hope.
In 1953, a Canadian pastor named Jack stood in the world’s busiest intersection—Shibuya Crossing in Japan. As people rushed past him, Jack realized that, despite the incredible need for hope that surrounded him in a nation so recently at war, there was no way he could carry Christ to all these people. Jack McAlister saw the people around him. And he took the burden on his heart to God. That day, Every Home’s vision to reach every person on earth through measurable outreach began—born out of seeing.
Today, around the world, we connect with believers who have experienced a similar powerful moment of calling. We empower them to use their passion to reach their neighbors. The result is powerful testimonies.
Calling Out for Hope
From a believer in Serbia:
Novi Sad was a special place for me during the outreach this month because I met a man who is a prisoner and is serving his sentence in home confinement. I told him about the Lord, provided him with discipleship books, and gave him my phone number. One evening, he called me almost in a panic to say that his life and house were haunted. I saw this was the moment when this man would call upon Christ. We talked and prayed together on the phone along with his wife and three children. They professed faith and felt relieved. Thank God for this ministry and these opportunities.
Hospitality Opens Doors
From a believer in Cyprus:
Aysha listened attentively when we handed her a Bible in Turkish, and she promised to read it. After many days, Aysha called a leader in the Every Home ministry in Cyprus, to ask him many questions about Jesus. We prayed with her and promised to keep in touch. We agreed to come every week to her home where she would invite her Turkish friends and neighbors to come hear the gospel message and study the Bible. We praise the Lord for Aysha, for Jesus will use her in that town for God’s kingdom and glory.
