Brilliant minds from as far back as Aristotle have suggested that the home is fundamental to human civilization. Just as the cell is the most basic unit of the human body, the home is the most basic unit of our social institutions.
Consequently, if you can change a home, you can change a community, and if you can change a community, you can change a whole nation.
And it often starts with just one person.
We see this in the book of Acts. When the Lord sends the Apostle Peter to the home of Cornelius the centurion, not only is Cornelius saved but his whole household as well! And with this household, the Early Church saw its first gentile converts — the first of many. Acts goes on to recount how the gospel then stretched across the Roman world.
