Believers serving with Every Home in this restricted nation reported a successful outreach followed by an encounter with law enforcement. Believers often return repeatedly to neighborhoods to share the gospel. Making sure not to miss anyone. Each trip carries greater risk of being reported for illegally sharing the gospel. To protect the identity of individuals involved in this story, some details have been edited and names have been changed.

“While sharing the gospel, one person repented. At the same time, we were subject to great persecution. We gave one of the gospel messages to a man…His name was Paul*…He invited us to his house. We told him about the love of the Lord, and Paul received his love with great joy…He asked for our phone number. He talks with us every day…We went out again to spread the Good News [in the same area]…A policeman stopped us. Since we had a lot of [gospel materials] with us, we distracted his attention and started to run away. But the police started to chase us by car and on foot. Fortunately, there was a basement in a house. We entered there, changed clothes, and were able to escape. We hid in another city for several weeks because the police here would be looking for us.”

Please pray for the safety of Every Home teams who serve in nations where it is dangerous to share the gospel. In the past year, legal restrictions and instances of violence against Christians have increased in many areas.
