Every Home is defined by courageous, unstoppable love—the transforming love of God expressed through our commitment to reaching everyone, everywhere. We remain steadfast in this mission even in the face of enormous challenges, like those present in the Asia-Pacific continent.
Many areas in the Asia-Pacific region are remote and difficult to access, like the highlands of Papua New Guinea or the 17,000 islands that compose Indonesia. In contrast, Asia Pacific also has many densely populated urban areas. And many nations in this region impose strict restrictions on Christian ministry. Believers frequently face persecution. In addition to these obstacles, Every Home teams face the challenge of an unpredictable environment in a region at high risk for natural disasters—earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, monsoons, etc.
How does Every Home’s local network of believers in Asia Pacific overcome these challenges? The following stories offer a firsthand look at some of the most diverse and challenging fields of ministry.
Going the Distance
Wherever possible, Every Home equips local believers to carry Christ to their neighbors. But some places are a several multi-day journey by foot, motorbike, or boat from the nearest church or Christian community. So, for decades, Every Home has equipped and sent Pioneer Missionaries to remote areas with little or no Christian presence. Technology, like smart phones and messaging apps, also opens new doors.

Nathan* has served as a Pioneer Missionary for many years and has connected with many local churches, watching their numbers grow as more communities encounter Jesus’s love. Recently, he received an anonymous call. (Christians face persecution in Nathan’s country. Even curiosity carries risk.)
A woman from another village had received Nathan’s contact number from a believer. She wanted to know more about Jesus. As Nathan shared the gospel, the woman’s family members gathered around the phone, listening.
Nathan continued his conversation with the woman over a messaging app and, eventually, she accepted Jesus as her Savior. But there was no church in her village.
So, Nathan reached out to his network and found the closest church for the woman and her family.

“We shared 6,500 pieces of gospel literature with 6,300 households in January. And three local churches contacted us this month to participate in outreach.
We went by motorbike, and sometimes we had to reach villages by boat. By the grace of God, it went smoothly, and no one disturbed us. We thank our God! We had a chance to present gifts of rice to the people with our gospel literature. All the people were very glad to welcome us and received the gifts with thankful hearts. They listened to our gospel message carefully. Praise the Lord!”
A Bible Shows the Faithfulness of God in a Restricted Nation
The Word of God is powerful. In some nations, Scripture in any format is heavily restricted and dangerous to possess or distribute. New believers and people seeking truth are desperate for Bibles. So, Every Home continues to find creative ways to put God’s Word in their hands.

“I want to share how God worked in my life through a challenging time when Bibles were scarce in my community. Due to restrictions on religious materials, it was difficult for me and my friends to access the Word of God. We longed to grow in our faith, but it seemed like an impossible task. Then, Every Home stepped in and provided us with Bibles. Holding that Bible in my hands felt like a miracle, and it quickly became a precious treasure. Through the Scriptures, we saw how God remains faithful, no matter the circumstances. Thanks to Every Home, my friends and I were able to study and grow in our understanding of God’s Word. It has strengthened our faith and given us hope. I am deeply grateful; it has truly been life-changing for both me and those around me.”
Adapting to the Unpredictable
Crises can disrupt the best-laid ministry strategies. But Every Home leaders and teams in Asia Pacific continually show their resilience by finding opportunities amidst disaster. Often, Every Home teams are among the first to respond to a crisis, carrying hope and tangible help to their neighbors.

“Big storms came through Thailand twice this month, and many provinces are flooded. Praise the Lord that our office is still alright, but we did move the valuable objects to the second floor. It is difficult to go home to home, but outreach teams equipped with Every Home materials go to schools, prisons, and hospitals, and set up indoor meetings that many people attend. Our staff set up seminars in three provinces and visited seven schools and five prisons. So, we were still able to reach our goals despite heavy rain.”
Every One in a Million
Asia Pacific is full of staggering numbers—archipelagos composed of thousands of islands, cities of millions, countries of billions. Our strategies must be enormous and daring to meet the incredible need. But even as we envision huge plans and projects, we keep our eyes on each individual person.
Every person has a story. Jesus knows them. He knows each person’s language, background, needs, and hopes. And he loves them. Every person counts.
That’s why we can’t be satisfied with a single ministry model or method. In fact, we will continue to develop new tools and find new ways to reach challenging places. It’s why we won’t give up on places or people that seem impossible to reach. The love of Jesus is unstoppable, transforming, of immeasurable worth, and intended for every human heart in Asia Pacific and beyond.

Rihaa* was invisible.
One day, as she was begging on the street, a van struck her. Perhaps the driver truly didn’t see her, attention drawn by crowded streets or noise.
Rihaa didn’t see the van behind her until it was too late, and she was thrown to the ground. Severely injured, she suffered years of back pain and lost most of her ability to walk. As a result, it became difficult for her even to beg.
Rihaa’s husband had died many years ago. And then her three sons got married and moved away. One by one, all the people that had made her life meaningful faded out of view, the distance between them stretching. Aging and alone, with no means of supporting herself, Rihaa had resorted to begging.
Among the more than 173 million people who live in Bangladesh (the fifth most populous nation in Asia), there was no one left to see her, no one who really knew her or cared for her. She was a person in need among millions of people in need.
Rihaa survived the bleak years of pain and loneliness after her accident by relying on the kindness of people living around her.
Then, last month, some local believers visited Rihaa. They told her about the healing power of Jesus and prayed for her.
They returned a few days later and found that, miraculously, Rihaa could now stand on her own and walk short distances without pain!
The believers prayed for Rihaa again. And a few days later, they returned to check on her. Rihaa told them she felt even better than before, and she believed that Jesus would heal
her completely. But the restoration Jesus had in store for Rihaa extended beyond physical healing.
A local pastor invited Rihaa to join a Christ Group where she found the comfort and support of a new community. Her sons also started looking for her, and they were reunited.
Our team in Bangladesh asks for prayer for Rihaa that she would remain steadfast in her faith.
Unstoppable Love

Through the hands, feet, and voices of ordinary believers, Jesus’s love reaches into slums, high-rises, and jungles. In the shadow of minarets and under echoing calls to prayer, in towns washed out by floods and families torn apart by war, Jesus is present. His hope is expressed in bags of rice. His truth is illuminated in patient answers to endless questions. In the broken places, believers carry his quiet, fearless invitation to true peace.
