A Note for Your Neighbor

Write encouraging notes or scripture cards and deliver them to neighbors, co-workers, or people you meet at community spaces (coffee shops, libraries, etc.). Be as specific as you can for different things they have told you about their life. Add an invitation to dinner or an offer to help them around the house.
2

Prayer Walks

Choose a neighborhood or street in your community. Say a prayer for every home, business, or person that you pass. Pray for protection, provision for the neighborhood, and that the Lord would show you someone to connect with as you walk. Pray that people in the neighborhood would have someone in their life who would show them the love of Jesus. Take notes of any opportunities to assist those in need.
3

Seasonal Serve Days

Plan a quarterly serve day based on the season. This can be a great way for your church to get out into your community! Offer spring cleanup for a local neighborhood or park, cook a meal for your firefighters, donate toys to a family in need, or conduct a winter hat and mitten drive.
4

Community Game Nights

Host a game night at your church or home. Invite everyone in your community for snacks, connections, and fun games… no agenda, just a time to meet others and create connections. Use it as an opportunity to ask questions and learn something new about the people around you.
5

Coffee Giveaways

Partner with a locally owned coffee shop, or set up a table in a busy area. Offer free coffee with a smile. Have some conversation starters and be ready to spend time with people who just need someone to talk to.
6

Adopt a School

Choose a school in your community and create appreciation baskets for the teachers, snacks for staff and students, or adopt a classroom supply list.
7

Serve a Meal

Whether it's a homeless shelter, crisis center, or foster care facility… choose somewhere to serve a community in need, share the love of Jesus, and make them feel seen and understood.
8

Faith & Family Night

Set up an outdoor movie theatre open for everyone in the community. Offer a family-based movie, free popcorn, and close the event with a prayer.
9

Grocery Blessing

Get a group together and bag groceries at your local supermarket. You could bring some pre-written prayer cards or uplifting notes to put in the bags. Make it fun with group competitions between baggage lines. Look for opportunities to connect with people as you serve!
10

Love Your Neighbor Kit Day

Pick a day every month to gather a group, either inside or outside your church, and participate in a Love Your Neighbor Kit activity together.
11

Kids Giving Care

Gather the children in your church to make care packages together for families in need. Deliver them in your community to share the love of Jesus with those around you!
12

Senior Connections

Visit assisted living homes or regularly check in with elderly church members. Sing hymns, play games, pray, or sit and chat. Make them feel valued, as many elderly community members feel deep loneliness.
